MILS is excited to present the premiere documentary screening of "Terre
Produced by Radio-Canada,
this groundbreaking piece explores the intricate issues surrounding
climate change and Canada's relationship with the Artic north.
Date:
Tuesday February 5, 2008
Time: 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM
Location: Room 203, NCDH
Ressources naturelles, souveraineté, populations autochtones,
navigation, conflits potentiels…

Please join MILS for
a very exciting round table on Arctic Sovereignty,
Wednesday February 6, 2008 at 4:30PM in the Moot Court!
Our panel will feature three prominent professors who will discuss the
impacts and implications of the legal issues surrounding Canada's
claims.
internationales?
Dr. Michael Byers (Canada Research Chair

British Columbia) and Professors Suzanne Lalonde (Université de
Montréal) and Armand de Mestral (Jean Monnet Chair in the Law of
International Economic Integration and Co-Director of the Institute of
European Studies, McGill-Université de Montréal) will
deliver
presentations on this important legal and diplomatic issue regarding
the Northwest Passage and Canada’s claims to Arctic sovereignty.
Date:
Wednesday February 6, 2008
Time: 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM

candidacy for a MILS exec position! Simply write to us letting us know
which position you'd like to run for.

"INTERNATIONAL LAW
FROM THOSE WHO HAVE TASTED IT"
And here's a second reminder about "International law from those who
have tasted it." Come hear about the experiences of students who worked
in international law this past summer. It's a great informal
opportunity to get information about possibilities for summer
internships and jobs. Join us on Wednesday, November 14 at 12:30 in
NCDH 102. Elections for this year's executive will also be held at the
meeting so come out and vote. If you would like to join our panel and

We're holding elections for
our executive positions on November 14, time and location TBA. If
your'e interested in running for one of the positions on the Executive Board, please drop us a line to tell us which
position you're interested in. First-, second- and third-years are more

We are looking for two more

what your internship entailed, how you found out about it and applied,
what the requirements were, that sort of thing. The panel is informal
and shouldn't last more than an hour. Your input would be a great help
to students interested in getting hands on experience in international
law! If you are interested in participating, please contact Jeannine. Thanks
for your help!
23 Oct 2007
Everyone is welcome to
attend. You should attend if: (i) You are in the Exec; (ii) You plan to
run for an Exec position; and (iii) You are planning an event or would

some numbers. In particular, we will discuss upcoming lecture and
project ideas. Other ideas are, of course, welcome and encouraged. We

of the Execs.
